STUDENTS MARK WATER DAY BY LEARNING DIFFERENT PROPERTIES OF WATER

24-03-2021
Held on 22 March  every year since 1993, World Water Day focuses on the importance of freshwater. This year's theme is about what water means to people, it's true value, and how we can better protect this vital resource. The value of water is much more than its price – water has enormous and complex value for our households, culture, health, education, economics, and the integrity of our natural environment. If we overlook any of these values, we risk mismanaging this finite, irreplaceable resource. With 70% of our earth being ocean water and 65% of our bodies being made up of water, it is hard not to be aware of how important it is in our lives. This simple fact is why scientists are constantly looking for water on other planets - the presence of water could indicate the presence of life. Grade 3 students celebrated World Water Day by giving presentations sharing properties of water, doing experiments, and explaining them in class.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE WORLD THEATRE DAY WITH ROLE PLAY ACTIVITY

23-03-2021
.One of the most important actions for World Theatre Day is the dissemination of the international message through which world-class figures share their thoughts on Theatre, Culture, and Peace. Its history merges with the origins of language itself, and its various forms of expression reflect our cultural diversity. In the initial phase of education, every child needs engaging and fun ways to learn. They pick up many of the basic but important life lessons during this phase of their life. Kids love to mimic adults, and in the process, they learn about life, and role-playing activities help them to do just that. These fun activities can foster the imagination and creativity of kids and also inculcate core lessons for life and help them excel into bright young students in school. In Presidium school, the children of Primary grades also took part in the Roleplay competition and dedicated their heart and soul in every aspect.

AN INFORMATIVE WEBINAR ON STREAM SELECTION FOR PRESIDIANS

06-02-2021
For most students in class 10th, visions of a career path are mostly restricted to childhood dreams. Ever since those early flights of fancy, very few actually give their career choice a serious thought. The choice of the stream (subject) directly affects the career. For example, one will not become a lawyer by choosing Science Stream, and similarly, one cannot become a Medical Practitioner by selecting Arts Stream. The webinar helped the students accumulate the skills and knowledge that Marks are, no doubt, a reflection of one’s capabilities, but they should not be the sole reason for choosing a stream. It is the orientation style, interest, personality, subject proficiency, and emotional intelligence that should be the essential key factors before we go for stream selection.
