The blessed festival of Janmashtami was recently celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the students at Presidium, Gurgaon. Hundreds of cute and naughty 'Kanhas’ came down from Playgroup and Nursery to celebrate the festival of Janmashtami. Playing flute, having a bowl of butter and sharing laughter with friends, the fun clad event consisted of several entertaining competitions and games, which apparently showered innumerable gifts for kids who were beautifully dressed in Lord Krishna’s attire for the fancy dress. They made and wore Peacock feather head-gears and decorated matkas and flutes beautifully. The Pre-primary wing was decorated colourfully with Jhankis depicting the birth of Lord Krishna and Krishna Jhoola. The most interesting show of the day was 'Natkhat Kanha', where the students had to choose the naughtiest and the most active disguised Lord Krishna. It appeared as if Presidium school turned into Gokul for a short while, where Lord Krishna had spent his childhood.
