‘There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.’
In an effort to emphasize the core values of experiential learning and to strengthen the knowledge of our students, an excursion to ‘Nehru Planetarium’ was organized for grade 3 students. This field visit was planned under the concept of ‘Sky’ in Theme Based Learning. One of the major attractions was the Soyuz T-10 which carried India’s first cosmonaut ‘Rakesh Sharma’ to space. His space suit on display brought great excitement among the students. They enjoyed many activities such as a 40-minute movie at ‘The Sky Theatre’, watching constellations, stars, planets, galaxies, etc. It was a very productive and enlightening trip that inspired many students to take up astronomy as a subject and learn more about the outer space!
