This year, International Literacy Day focuses on ‘Literacy and Multilingualism’. Despite progress made, literacy challenges persist, distributed unevenly across countries and populations. Embracing linguistic diversity in education and literacy development is central to addressing these literacy challenges and to achieving Sustainable Development Goals. The Presidians prepared pamphlets which were distributed to the spectators. The thought and talk presented in the morning assembly helped them to learn more about the importance of literacy. Special classroom activities were also conducted which reconnected the students to their favourite books.
