On 2nd October, India celebrates Gandhi Jayanti, the birthday of the great leader who gave the world the invincible weapons of truth, non-violence and compassion. Mahatma Gandhi always insisted on truth and non-violence as an inseparable part of humanity. The students of Presidium presented the assembly on the theme ‘Non-Violence’. The assembly began with a special tribute to the Father of Nation, and an eloquent thought that emphasized the importance of the concept of non-violence. Through a small yet exceptionally amazing skit, the students presented Gandhiji’s path of satya and ahimsa to fight against the Britishers. They also presented the philosophical and pragmatic ideals of Gandhiji. The students laid emphasis on non-violence with the thought of Gandhiji, “Anger is the enemy of non-violence and pride is a monster that swallows it up”.
