Maha Shivaratri is a festival celebrated annually in honor of God Shiva. Shivaratri is celebrated on every lunisolar month of the Hindu calendar. Maha Shivaratri which means the Great Night of Shiva is celebrated with devotion and religious fervor in honor of Lord Shiva. Presidians of grade 1 conducted a special assembly on Maha Shivratri which was followed by a prayer. The significance of the festival along with the life of Lord Shiva was presented by the students through a skit. The role of Lord Shiva in the natural cycle was highlighted through a theatrical dance performance depicting the celebration of Mahashivratri. Students enthusiastically participated in the assembly and narrated the importance of the festival.
