To commemorate the ‘National Science Day’ celebrated every year on 28th February, an assembly was conducted. The science department of Presidium presented a detailed insight into simple activities related to one of the most interesting and intriguing concepts, ‘Acids, Bases, Salts.’ The students of grade 6-8 enjoyed learning about the various natural food items which contain these essential chemicals. Knowing the techniques to reduce the effect of a bee sting or eating oily food or testing for adulteration in commonly used food items excited the children. Children were thus made to ponder over the ‘Why and How of science. The significance of the day was to create awareness about the importance and the value of science in the nation's development.
