STUDENTS MARK GIRL CHILD DAY WITH DEBATE COMPETITION

An online Intra Class Debate Competition was organized for the students of Grade 6 to 8 by Presidium. The competition saw a tougher side of the young generation putting up their views supported by facts and figures aggressively. Grade 8 students spoke on why “Empowering the girl child is the best way to empower the nation,” and enthralled everyone with their views. It was a sheer delight to see young parliamentarians fighting tooth and nail to showcase their convincing abilities. Grade 6 students spoke on “Pros and cons of using Social Media,” while the Grade 7 topic was “Media is more powerful than Government.” The students effortlessly delivered on either side of the motion and weren’t deterred even when the teachers and their fellow students interjected them. Such platforms lay the foundation for making them ready to face real-time situations and shape their holistic personalities.
