Blow painting is an exciting activity for kids, it provides some great opportunities for experimentation, and the resulting artwork is really amazing. This is a process art activity that is truly frame-worthy Science, like art, is a creative process, which begins with curiosity and leads to discovery and exploration. Blow painting is a beautiful example of this. Our budding scientists of Grade 2 were ready with a variety of different coloured watery paints, a straw, and a piece of an A4 sheet. Initially, the teacher showed them how they can make the paint move across the paper, and then the students began to investigate with colours. The joy and wonder that they displayed while doing blow painting with a straw and paint were amazing. The students were fascinated by this creative and exploratory process, delighted, and we're telling each other about what they could see, what they thought, and what it made them wonder about.
