“May every lamp that will be lit this Diwali, bring joy and prosperity to everyone."
Diwali, referred to as the festival of lights, is perhaps the most exuberant and popular festival to be celebrated not only in India but in many regions across the globe. Presidium school left no stones unturned to ensure that the students bask in festivities and yet learn something new. The students geared up for their special celebrations- preparing musical and dance performances as a way to understand, honour and enjoy the importance of Diwali. An awareness campaign was carried out by students in an effort to spread awareness about the harmful effects of fireworks and to remind the students to have a safe and environment-friendly Diwali. The other events such as Diya making, rangoli decorations captured the joyous feelings associated with the return of Lord Rama and honoring Goddess Lakshmi. The celebrations were summed up by the class teachers who elaborated upon the relevance and emotions behind Diwali-how the victorious euphoria, the celebration, the joy, and finally the hope can be used in one’s path to success, even today. As the fun-filled day came to an end, the students left for a festive break with a heart full of happiness and excitement but a cautious and vigilant brain.
