Constitution Day or Samvidhan Diwas is celebrated annually in India on 26 November. The day is also known as National Law Day. The day commemorates the adoption of the Constitution in India. The Indian Constitution, the lengthiest of any sovereign nation in the world, provides a comprehensive framework to guide and govern the country, keeping in view its social, cultural, and religious diversity. One of the cogent strengths being a dynamic instrument that can evolve with time either by its interpretation or amendment thus being referred to as a ‘Living Document’ which assures its citizens’ equality, liberty, and justice. The success of the Indian Constitution, for a country as diverse and complex as India, continues to intrigue, impress and inspire virtuosos around the world. Grade IX students from Presidium fervently reaffirmed their commitment to the Indian Constitution by taking the pledge and participating in Article Writing Competition to stand for its people and by its people echoing the values, aspirations, and ideals of a democratic nation.
