Buddha Purnima commemorates and celebrates the birth and enlightenment of Lord Buddha. A special assembly on the occasion of Buddha Purnima was organized by grade 2 A of Presidium. To absorb the spirit of this occasion, students dramatized the story of Prince Siddhartha. A captivating performance was presented by the young students. The message of being kind to other fellow beings and not quarreling with each other was also conveyed to the students. The young learners came together to commemorate the might, wisdom, and preaching of Lord  Buddha, whose emphasis on conduct and righteousness has greatly augmented Indian society. A discussion on the life and times of Gautama Buddha and Buddha Purnima took place, wherein various teachings of Gautama Buddha like his insights on the strength of mind and soul were shared. This was followed by a session of meditation with teachers and students chanting "Buddham Saranam Gacchami" which unfolded an ambiance full of calmness and tranquility.
