An educational trip to Amritsar was organised for the students of grade 5. It was a 2 days and 1-night trip. The students were highly excited and enthusiastic about their visit to Amritsar. The students reached the 5-star hotel ‘Holiday Inn' and enjoyed the delicious breakfast. They were left stunned to know the brutality shown by General Dyer and how his troops fired on the crowd at the Jallianwala bag. At Wagah border, they witnessed the lowering of the flags ceremony of India and Pakistan. It is an alternatively a symbol of the two countries’ rivalry as well as brotherhood and cooperation between two nations. The fun-filled day ended with a lip-smacking dinner and a luxury stay in the hotel. The second day began with a visit to ‘The Golden Temple’ the holy gurdwara of Sikhs, where men and women from all walks of life and all the religions worship God equally. The students invoked blessings from God and enjoyed the prasad. They cherished the shopping time at the local market. It was an enlightening and amazing experience for the students.
