AVIK REIGNS IN ANOTHER ACCOLADE IN NORTHERN INDIAN HORSE SHOW

Avik Bhatia, a student of grade 6 recently participated in the Northern Indian Horse Show 2019 and has bagged a gold and a silver medal. He is an avid horse rider and has been pursuing this sport for the last three years and has been a part of horse shows in different states and has secured awards in majority of them. He has also cleared the Regional Equestrian league and has secured qualification for the prestigious Junior National Equestrian Championship. Avik is a shining example of excellence in avenues only few pursue and serves as a beacon of light to Presidians who wish to take uncharted paths and succeed at them.

PRESIDIANS COMPREHEND THE TOPIC- LENGTH WITH FUN ACTIVITY

The standard unit of length in maths is Metre. To build the understanding and the importance of bigger units such as metre and smaller units such as Centimetre, the students did an activity of 1 metre scale. To get hands on experience of this activity students of grade 3 first measured different objects in their surrounding from a small strip or scale of 10 cm such as , eraser, sharpener and school bag. Later they tried to measure the length of the corridor which was not feasible with a centimetre scale, so they used a 1m scale strip for that. It was a fun learning activity for the students.

Appreciation not only makes a person happy and joyful but also creates bridges of motivation and inspiration which leads to success eventually. Acknowledging efforts, talents and attributes give the tender hearts, a sense of being loved. We at Presidium really believe that the students must receive appreciation and acknowledgment at the end of every term so that their confidence always remains boosted. With constant love, motivation and inspiration they will become capable enough to convert their signatures into autographs. Thus, we organized an Appreciation Day to acknowledge their significant contribution in each term. They were felicitated with special certificates of recognition for their best qualities.

STUDENTS ORGANIZE SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON UNICEF DAY

UNICEF works for children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential. A special assembly was organized by grade 2 with immense joy, enthusiasm and magnificence. The students shared the importance of the day. Beautiful poems were sung by students on Children’s Rights. The poems spread awareness that they are the real future of the country. This was followed by a dance performance on “We are the world, we are the children." The assembly ended with a pledge to ensure that every child feels the importance of equal rights, safety, and quality education. The assembly inspired all the children to move ahead in life with grace and courage.

ANMOL BAGS LAURELS AT BEHES COMPETITION

Anmol Sobti, a student of grade 8 has won the Behes Champions Trophy as a winner of Cub division held at Maxfort School. She has also been awarded with a gold medal in Behes Competition held at Blue Bells Model School. She is one of the brilliant, energetic and innovative students of Presidium.

December 10th is celebrated as Human Rights Day. A special assembly was organized by grade 2 students with full enthusiasm and joy. The assembly began with a prayer followed by the thought of the day and news. Students shared their views on the importance of this day. A beautiful skit was performed by the students on human rights followed by a mesmerizing dance performance that spread the message that everyone has a right to live. Assembly ended with a pledge to make this world a beautiful place where all would have the right to live and thrive in peace and safety.

SPORTS DAY: A DAY FILLED WITH THE EXHILARATION OF JOY & VICTORY

The much-awaited Annual Sports Day-The Invincibles was a day filled with fervor, exhilaration amidst cheers and thrills. Presidians showcased their athletic understanding, physical fitness, and dancing skills. After the flag hoisting ceremony, the Guest of Honour lit the ceremonial torch, followed by the spectacular, impressive, and well synchronized March Past by all the Clubs. The oath-taking ceremony was followed by torch relay presented by the sports fraternity to the School Sports Captain and finally to our Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, who lit the flame of purity and perfection and declared the meet open. The memories of this spectacular event are permanently etched in the minds and hearts of the audience who witnessed the brave participants in the sporting arena.

STUDENTS COMPREHEND THEME ‘TEXTILES’ WITH BLOCK PRINTING ACTIVITY

Under TBL theme 'Textiles' the students observed different patterns and designs on clothes. They learnt about different techniques of making these designs and patterns by performing vegetable printing on a handkerchief. They were thrilled to see different designs on the clothes using cut-outs of vegetables. They were easily able to relate it to the process of block printing as they had already watched the video related to the same.

LITTLE ARTIST SECURE THIRD POSITION IN ART COMPETITION

Nabeeha Iqbal of grade 1 secured 3rd position in Glue The View Competition at Euro International. In this competition 50 students from different schools participated. There were altogether 15 school who took participation in this competition. Presidium believe that art encompasses values, ideas, and helps enlighten one with what the imagination is capable of without minimizing thought and the power of creation.
