Summers can be never be complete without a good feast on delicious mangoes.

It was a sweet juicy morning for the tiny tots of Presidium when the students of Prep delightfully entered the school premises in order to celebrate the season of the king of fruits - MANGO. The school premises was decorated in yellow to celebrate Mango Day with sheer enthusiasm. The Presidians shared and relished various varieties of mangoes followed by an assortment of exciting activities to learn about the nutritional value and health benefits of mangoes. As the day reached to an end, the children left with immense pleasure in their hearts and this event will be cherished in their little minds for a long time.

With immense joy and excitement our grade 3 students recently organised a Food Fair, wherein they learnt about the cultural diversity in India and rejoiced the different delicacies of every state. The school was wonderfully decorated and each state had been assigned a different space wherein the students displayed various food items that belonged to that state. Students were beautifully dressed representing the state and it was a wonderful sight with colours of cultures everywhere. The students welcomed the guests in the folk language of the state they were representing. The aroma of the food also made everyone’s taste buds water and stomach grumble. The fair undoubtedly became one of the most memorable experience for each one of them.

Presidium believes in instilling in its students, education for life which is why, the curriculum has been perfectly divided to focus on academics, life skills and talents. When it comes to academics, the students were always given the freedom and encouragement from the teachers to learn at their own pace. With the CBSE grade 10 board results for session 2017-18, we have witnessed how fruitful their effort and determination has been. Our heartiest congratulations to the school topper Shriya Bajaj who scored an aggregate of 92.2%, 8 of our subject toppers and our proud Presidians who scored an overall percentage of 90 and above.

Presidium Gurugram in association with Civil hospital(Gurugram), WHO and UNICEF enthusiastically conducted MR Vaccination  campaign as part of the national campaign to eliminate measles and rubella. The vaccination was administered to children from grades pre nursery to 10th in the presence of well equipped nursing staff and a team of doctors. The campaign was inaugurated by the CMO, Gurugram – Dr.BK Rajora and the District Immunization Officer, Dr.Neelam Thapar. All the teachers and heads joined hands for eradicating these deadly diseases and emphasized the importance of getting the vaccination to develop immunity in our children. The campaign was a great success as more than 500 students got the vaccination done.

Participation in various Olympiads is one of the platforms provided to our students where they get an early exposure to learning. Participation in Olympiads tend to make them very sharp minded and clever problem solvers because the Olympiad exams do not just test the student’s knowledge of concepts but the understanding and application of the concepts as well. We are immensely proud of Tanishka Phogat for winning gold medal and international rank 1 in International English Olympiad (IEO) - 2017-18. The International English Olympiad (IEO) is a one-of-a-kind examination, and first in the history of English language testing in India.

With an aim to promote public speaking and reasoned expression among students, Presidium hosted the spectacular Behes event.. The two zealous days witnessed students exploring a plethora of topics and critically examining them. All the debate topics were given impromptu based on a suggested reading. Students from the host school as well as various other schools across Delhi/NCR had participated. Their free flowing ideas on various topics had been a display of impeccable research, collaborative and analytical skills. The tournament proved to be a successful global platform for budding debaters enabling them to express their views rationally. Out of the 40 top speakers, more than 30 were from Presidium, Gurgaon. Our budding Presidian, Pulkit Garg of grade 9 was the proud winner of the best speaker award from amongst the 200 participants.

More than 600 young Presidians presented a scintillating performance, emoting true Indian aesthetic philosophy of prime human emotions. They left the audience spell-bound with profound impact and a message that these ancient ideas still run into the stream of our lives. Showcasing the dynamics of the Navras with their prodigious and stately performance, the leaders of tomorrow depicted that the movements and change, form the bedrock of everything.

Prevention is better than cure and following a daily hygiene routine will ensure that you have healthy teeth and gums. In continuation of human endeavour by Dr. Khosla’s Dental Clinic, a free dental check-up and awareness camp was recently organized at Presidium, Gurugram.  A team of senior specialist dental surgeons and para-medical staff carried out a comprehensive dental check-up on students of all grades. The camp was initiated with dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent them. The students were highlighted about the eating patterns and food choices which cause tooth decay.  On completion of the dental check-up each student was given a report summary of the diagnosed problem and the recommended dental treatment plan.
