"The fastest way to change society is to mobilize the women of the world!"
This statement of Charles Malik, former President of UN General Assembly, beautifully highlights the significant role of women in society. History is filled with examples of women’s continuous contribution to social, economic and cultural spheres. Women have fought against all odds to emerge as world changers. Sharing the same view, the Grade 3 Presidians of Gurgaon recently conducted an assembly on the topic 'woman empowerment'. They started the assembly by sharing that the woman is an important pillar of society as she has the power to create, nurture and transform.
An inspiring video 'The Invisible Woman' was screened during the assembly. Children depicted mesmerizing role play to convey the message - 'educate a woman and you educate her family; educate a girl and change the world'. A wonderful dance performance was presented by little Presidians to show the gratitude towards womanhood. Some parents voluntarily shared their success stories to motivate children with their inspirational words. The day was indeed a well-deserved tribute to the womankind, who only is bestowed upon the capability of playing multiple roles such as mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend and a professional.
