The students of classes 3rd to 8th did craftwork on the prosperous occasion of Pongal with great zeal and cheerfulness. Students used different materials like grains, paper, pulses, cotton, leaves to create this beautiful craft. Students enhanced their understanding about the festival of Pongal. They learned that Pongal is a harvest festival celebrated by the Tamil community. It is celebrated to thank the Sun, Mother Nature, and various farm animals that help to contribute to a bountiful harvest. Students were thrilled to learn about Pongal and enjoyed doing their craftwork a lot. Some of them also shared their experiences of the festival and what they knew about it.
