STUDENTS MASTER ART OF DANCE & MUSIC WITH MASTERS IN THE FIELD

04-06-2019

Dance can help restore joy and stability in  lives and ease the tensions in school. In one evaluation, 95 percent of teachers said that, as a result of dancing together, students’ abilities to cooperate and collaborate improved. We are fortunate to have tied up with excellent teachers who are not only experts in their field of dance but are also passionate about teaching their craft to little children. Music is taught by a teacher who not only is an expert; but also understands the needs of children and how to bring out and nurture their musicality. The instruments offered include keyboard, bongo, Congo drums, violin and guitar. The fact that the respective teachers understand children very well is testament to how much they enjoy these classes. In addition to teaching the dance and music sequences, the classes also act as a good opportunity for children to build strength and focus.

TURNING PRESIDIANS INTO ACCOUNTING EXPERTS!

03-06-2019

An Accounting Equation is a mathematical expression which shows that the assets and liabilities of a firm are equal. An Accounting Equation is based on the Dual Aspect Concept of accounting meaning that, every transaction has two aspects- Debit and Credit. We recently conducted a classroom activity for our students based on this very concept. The students were introduced to the idea of preparing a balance sheet. They also learnt that every transaction affects either both sides of the equation or a positive effect on one item and a negative effect on another item on the same side of the accounting equation.
The activity helped us achieve the objective of making the students aware about the effect of a transaction (increase or decrease) on the assets, liabilities, capital, revenue and expenses.

been assigned a different space wherein the students displayed various food items that
belonged to that state. Students were beautifully dressed representing the state and it was a
wonderful sight with colours of cultures everywhere. The students welcomed the guests in the
folk language of the state they were representing. The aroma of the food also made everyone’s

10-05-2019

It is truly said, “God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.” Mother’s Day is a celebration honouring the mother, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society. Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, we at Presidium organised a special celebration and assembly on Mother’s Day. As we know Mother’s Day comes once a year. If we only comprehended a 10th of what our mothers did for us as children, and how they would literally sacrifice anything for us if needed, we would realize that one day is not sufficient. So to honor the mothers, attractive boards showcasing the creativity of children were also displayed. Mother’s day cards, messages and photographs, all adorned the venue.

MONTHLY THEME: PRESIDIANS LEARN THE JOY OF SHARING

03-05-2019

Love only grows by sharing. You can only have more for yourself by giving it away to others.

We believe in sensitizing children by teaching such values of life. We started the new session by introducing theme for the month where children will learn to share and care for each other. True sharing implies empathy, the ability to get into another’s mind and see things from their viewpoint. Learning how to share also implies how to become a good human being and a more
efficient member of the society and cultivating strong relationships. For this, it is important that
the child is encourage sharing through tasks and activities. These values have to be fostered both at home by parents and at schools by teachers so that they become an important trait in the personality of the child and remain with the individual throughout his life. Children shared their games, toys, books, and watched movies together to celebrate this joy of sharing.
