Presidium Gurgaon believes in the maxim-“Be what you want to be”- and surmises in creating and organizing multifarious activities to nurture the versatility and talents of students in various fields. With an aim to inspire students and to make its mark in the field of education, Presidium Gurgaon recently organised a Techno Fest which was inaugurated by honourable Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. Being prompted by our commitment to excellence in the field of education and taking cue from the belief that technology is of great importance, students from various schools of Gurgaon and Delhi NCR took part in this paramount event. The aim of the Fest was to allow students to express, exhibit and showcase their creativity and encourage them to explore, learn, collaborate and create. The event was a great success and we congratulate all the participants.

The young artist, Bhaskar Gulia of Presidium Gurgaon brought laurels to the school at the National Astropod Competition organised by SPACE. Bhaskar’s video won the Third prize in the Most Creative category of the competition. We congratulate Bhaskar for this spectacular achievement. 

Sport builds character, confidence and mental power. Our leaders of tomorrow are determined to excel in every field, be it academics or sports. Keeping up with the spirit, two of our young sports star brought laurels to the school. Suryansh Yadav of grade 5 won a Bronze Medal at the Table Tennis Sports Fiesta organised by GD Goenka School in the under-10 category. Aarohi Saxena of grade 9 participated in the 43rd Haryana State School Games Federation of India and won a Silver Medal in Table Tennis in under-19 age category. We congratulate the winners and their mentors for their excellent performance.

We bid goodbye to another pertinacious batch of grade 12 as the farewell ceremony brought with it innumerable memories . The day started with the ‘Tilak Ceremony’ followed by the address of the honourable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta and Principal Alka Singh who showered their blessings and best wishes on the students. The picture perfect moments created beautiful memories as excitement gripped the day filled with nostalgia excitement!

The honourable Chairperson of Presidium and Mother’s Pride is an educationist par excellence who believes in the power of ‘being’. With an aim to inspire teachers, Ma’am conducted a motivational and life altering session for the teachers of Presidium Gurgaon on the ‘Power of Being’. Ma’am shared tips on how to build emotional strength through 10 Mantras and 3 Gurumantras and her inspirational thoughts generated a sense of positivity among the teachers. The ‘high on emotions’ seminar made our teachers think about how their feelings and mood affect their lives and impact how they form strong relationships. The powerful mantras helped learn the ways to not let people, situations and circumstances affect them. They learned how to throw away the negativity and have an open mind to life. Towards the end of the seminar, the teachers shared how they felt better equipped to handle situations. The glow of positivity on the faces of the audience indicated how the seminar helped in motivating teachers and making them powerful beings.

Christmas is incomplete without the grand Christmas Carnival of Presidium Gurgaon held on 25th December. Students of grades Pre-Nursery to 11 actively participated in the carnival and put up a wonderful show. It was a fun-enthused day and the entire field was filled with people of all age-groups enjoying themselves at various stalls like pottery, DIY-activities, fun-games, tattoo making, buggy-ride, live-singing and dancing , finger-licking food and photo-booth. The highlights of the carnival were the Fashion Show, Fancy Dress and Painting competitions organised by School which children enjoyed thoroughly. It was a memorable day for all of us!

The science enthusiasts of Presidium Gurgaon recently indulged in the Biology Activity of Spotting of different specimens, slides, models and charts as prescribed by the CBSE for the students of grade 11 and 12. Students observed various biological phenomena under the headings of pollen germination, T.S. of ovary and testis, meiosis in onion root tip, T.S. of blastula, Entamoeba histolytica, Mendelian ratio, pedigree chart, Xerophytic plants and animals, Aquatic plants and animals. It was a great learning experience for the Presidians.

Maha Behes, the Season Finale was recently held on 15th and 16th December at Presidium Gurugram. The event witnessed over 700 debaters from more than 15 cities to battle it out for a shot at the coveted national title - a chance at being the Maha Behes Champions 2018. The top teams after proving their mettle at the regional rounds, came together to compete against each other during the most intense two days of the season.
