MRS SUDHA GUPTA GRACES NURTURING & CULTIVATING MEDITATION SESSION

In an endeavour to help every member of the fraternity discover peace within, Presidium Gurugram recently hosted a guided meditation session. The occasion was cordially graced by the honorable chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. The meditation session was conducted by ‘Inner Organization of Italy’, an organization that aims to transform children for bringing peace to mankind. It is an initiative that aids both the students and the teachers touch their inner core and become centered. The event commenced with a somber and peaceful aura with melodious music in the background and subtle action dance performed by everyone. This reputable award is an initiative to felicitate Times NIE student members who display a rare combination of talent, leadership abilities, performance skills, academic excellence and also recognizes significant contribution made to society. Laiba had been a constant inspiration to her juniors in the school as she has extraordinary leadership qualities and has dedicatedly served in school Students’ Council. A visit to a historical monument is always an exciting experience and to offer the same to the young Presidians of Gurugram, we recently took them to the Taj Mahal, in the historical city of Agra. One of the most beautiful and worth seeing historical places in India, the Taj Mahal is built about three hundred and fifty years ago by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, in memory of his beloved queen, Mumtaj. Described as a dream in marble, it is located on the bank of river Yamuna. The Presidians admired the green tufts of glass and the green shoots of hot Cyprus trees, which adorned its majestic beauty and came back with a bag full of cherishable memories.

GRADE 2 PRESIDIANS EXPRESS MANY THANKS TO THEIR LOVING TEACHERS

We must find the time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives!
With this motivating thought and gesture. our grade 2 students recently organized a special assembly on Thanksgiving, dedicating it to honour all those who have helped them, especially teachers, at Presidium, Gurugram. Considered as next to parents, who play a key role in shaping our future, the teachers felt overwhelmed to receive this special acknowledgement from their little students. The Presidians also expressed gratitude to our respected Principal - Alka Ma’am, our Academic Head - Pallavi Ma’am, the didis, nurses, sports department and to all those who play a key role in making them grow throughout the year. To give a fun and positive end to this appreciation event, the children took the hands of their loving teachers and took them on the stage to dance with them, thanking them for their unconditional love and support.

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of our students, an Intra-Class Dance Competition was recently organised at Presidium, Gurugram. The theme of the competition was patriotic, Indian folk and western. Presenting energetic performances, our vivacious dancers set the floor on fire. The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and vigour of the young Presidians, as they enthralled everyone with their captivating dance moves. The adjudicators, mentors, dance teachers and parents applauded the winners and other participants for offering such a fun-filled extravaganza.

To rejoice the festival of colours with immense joy and enthusiasm, our grade 2 students recently conducted a special assembly at Presidium, Gurugram. They shared about the importance of this festival, post which, some beautiful poems on Holi were presented. Spreading vivid colours of their dance on the spectators, the leaders of tomorrow drenched them in the joy of this festival. The assembly perfectly connected the festival with a beautiful and colourful aura, which makes us forget about our worries and brings a smile on our faces.

VISIT TO A PARK: A FUN-FILLED EXPERIENCE IN LAP OF MOTHER NATURE

I played, I laughed, I jumped, I hoped, I learned and I grew magically in nurturing lap of Mother Nature.
Students of Grades Nursery and Prep of Presidium Gurgaon 57 recently were taken out for a nature walk to ‘The Leisure Valley Park’ to give them a break from the monotonous classroom routine. Little children appreciated the beauty and wonder of nature and delighted to experience the tender of flowers, the softness of grass and breathe in fresh air. Besides all the goodies, interesting ‘puppet show and magic show’ was organized which was a wonderful kids-captivating program rendered them asking for more. This visit to a natural surrounding offered students to create beautiful memories to cherish forever. Indeed, it was an experience that children will never forget!

SECOND PLACE IN LOTUS VALLEY CRICKET TOURNAMENT RIVETS PRESIDIANS

With the same spirit, the Under-12 Cricket Team of Presidium Gurugram recently participated and bagged the second prize in an Inter-School Cricket Tournament, organized by Lotus Valley International School. 6 teams from Delhi and NCR, which scored maximum points, were allowed to participate in this prestigious tournament. The grand win is incomplete without a special mention to our captain, who not only responsibly took charge of the team and tried to bring out the very best in them, but also switched roles between wicket keeping and bowling efficiently, giving his very best at both the roles.
