Unraveling certain safety measures, the talented grade 3 students of Presidium Gurgaon recently presented a unique assembly program. In this special assembly, they explained with their unique performances, why keeping safe is one of the most valuable and pertinent things in life. Conveying the message to be cautious while talking to strangers as it could be dangerous, Presidians presented a beautiful song to make the audience aware of certain safety rules that they should follow on a daily basis. Also, other topics such as the importance of road safety were discussed. Overall, it was an outstanding learning and educational experience for all!

CHRISTMAS FERVOUR AND MAGIC SPREADS AT THE CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL

The sparkling festival of Christmas was celebrated as a fun-filled Christmas Carnival recently at Presidium, Gurgaon. This fiesta for the entire family transformed the school premises into a children’s paradise, full of unlimited fun, adventure, and entertainment. The children were replete with gifts, joyrides, talent hunt, terrific performances, multiple competitions, fashion shows, fancy dress and lip-smacking snacks. The glittering Christmas tree, the smiling face of Santa and the goody bags with cakes and chocolates soaked everyone in the festive fervour. The magic unfolded before their eyes as they participated in various activities at the carnival. It was truly, a delight for all age groups!

Commemorating the joyous occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ, Presidium Gurgaon recently celebrated Christmas. Our adorable little Presidians beautifully presented the ‘nativity scene’ with painted clay images of baby Jesus and his parents, specially crafted by the senior students. The air was filled with Christmas spirit and the delight was uncontained as Santa brought gifts for the children. Special Christmas carols were sung and everybody wished ‘Merry Christmas’ to each other. A beautiful Christmas tree was put-up and the leaders of tomorrow celebrated the occasion with merriment. The supreme message of Christmas of spreading love and peace among mankind, was truly achieved through this event.

PRESIDIANS RAISE AWARENESS ON INCREASING LEVELS OF POLLUTION

In a recent class assembly by students of grade 3 on the topic ‘kill pollution else it will kill you’, the theme of increasing level of pollution in Delhi was brilliantly covered to create awareness among the masses. Students began by presenting a skit on 'pollution’ depicting how small steps can lead to big changes in terms of conserving water, forest, and atmosphere. They spoke about the process of making compost and how it can be beneficial for everyone. It was followed by songs and speeches, which educated all on steps to preserve the environment and gather natural air purifiers. The assembly was a perfect amalgamation of entertainment and information!

The charm of India has caught the imagination of endless number of poets, thinkers, scientists and philosophers. India offered something to ponder everyone’s perspective. To highlight the grandeur and magnificence of India, recently a special assembly was organized on the theme ‘Incredible India’. Students of grade 3 mesmerized everybody with their power-packed performances in the form of songs, presentations, videos, skits and more, conveying the message of ‘unity in diversity’. Also, they highlighted the contributions of great leaders by enactments and presented some amazing facts, news, and thoughts. Parents also conveyed their feelings and appreciated their efforts!

PUPPET SHOW & STORYTELLING OFFERS A NEW CREATIVE LEARNING MEDIUM

Harmonizing two beautiful creative learning modes, a Twist and Turn Puppet Show was organized by Presidium Gurgaon recently for boosting students' learning in a creative manner. This program fused together two creative activities - paper bag puppets making and wonderful story writing exercise, which showcased how the art project is intersected wonderfully with story writing literacy exercise. Child Labour refers to the situation where minor boys and girls are engaged in commercial activities. These children are deprived of primary education and exposed to mental and physical dangers. To sensitize others on one of the crucial social issues of the times, i.e., child labour, students of grade 5 recently conducted a special assembly at Presidium, Gurgaon. In this assembly, a video was shown in which students created awareness about child labour by giving information on the real problem, followed by a heart touching skit, recitation of a Hindi poem and finally a group dance. The assembly concluded with a thought that motivated others in doing their bit against this serious social issue.

Making beautiful paper bags in different shapes and sizes proved to be a simple yet intriguing activity. The fun-filled activity inspired young Presidians to contribute to the Mother Nature by using paper bags and saying no to plastic bags. By and large, students showcased their creativity and artistic skills by making attractive paper bags and decorating them vibrantly.

To honour the outstanding sports achievements of the Presidians of Gurgaon, the Annual Sports Day Prize Distribution ceremony was recently organized. Our very dear Sudha Ma'am, the honourable chairperson of Presidium graced the event and recognized the young achievers with certificates, trophies and medals. The energetic students performed beautifully in various sports acts like drills, dumb bells and races. A fun-filled tug-of-war session was played between the teachers and parents, which filled the air with cheers and excitement. Prizing the enthralling performances and hard work of the leaders of tomorrow, the event encouraged them to do even better in their future endeavours.
